Smartwater

Vapor Distilled Electrolyte Enhanced
I am a water drinker. I would rather drink water than anything else. I enjoy drinking coffee, tea, and on occasion soft drinks but water is clearly my first choice beverage and has been all my life. It makes me very sad to know that close to 900 million people do not have access to clean, safe water.
It is a known fact within my circle of family and friends that I when I purchase water it is because I like the bottle or container. If I end up not liking the taste I simply do not buy it again. There is a great deal of controversy surrounding bottled water, the companies that bottle it, the filling of the landfills with plastic, the source of the water, whether or not we are getting what they market, etc. All valid reasons to be concerned but not why I decided to write about smartwater.
he first time I picked up a bottle of the smartwater by Glaceau I wasn’t as taken with the bottle as I was with the message on one side. The bottle itself was round and with the name printed in a vertical position. On the opposite side was a ruler like guide with the following written along the rulers edge at different points.
- -Capable
- -Kinda arid
- -Electrolytes flowing
- -Clever enough
- -Getting there (nice and moist)
- -Witty
- -85% hydrated
- -Genius
The idea for this was as you got to the various levels you would get smarter and smarter until you finish the water and reach genius level. I thought it a really clever and funny marketing ploy. The added bonus, for me, I really like the water. It is vapor distilled with electrolytes and it really does have a nice, crisp taste and because my body doesn’t tolerate the sugar in other waters and juices that contain the added electrolytes I found it to be another great bonus.
I try to be environmentally aware and not overuse bottled water. I have lived in several different states and cities and have experienced good tap water and not so good tap water. In the case of the latter I purchased a pitcher with filter then used the bottled water for emergencies or when traveling. I always keep the smartwater on hand especially during the summer months. I perspire a lot and the electrolyte enhanced water does make a difference, at least, for me.

Thanks for the information on smart water. Now I'm thinking that since it tastes good and is electrolyte enhanced, it will be smart to buy it. As for making the drinker a genius--who knows? Anything can happen.
Hi, Dee, as part of water coming from a distillation process, what about minerals that are a natural part of water? How do those figure in? Informative hub, thanks
Well, Dee you can never be to careful as water is such a necessity. You answered my question, this product does need to augment its distilled water vapor with minerals for the complete water drinking experience. See you around the hubs, Cred2
I've been focusing on increasing my water intake. Recently I became dehydrated during the flu. That scared me into making sure I drink more water. I really like the idea of smart water containing electrolytes. I will start drinking that brand. Thanks Dee. Very helpful hub and voted up!

I had to come and see my favourite hubber! And I'm impressed and delighted at this hub because water's so essential to life!
I use a British Berkfeld Water filter. It's stainless steel so will last forever, it uses ceramic water filter tubes that filter out 99% of bacteria, metals, fluride and other nasty things.
It has two compartments, a top one to pour the water into (7 litres) and a bottom compartment with the fresh water with a tap.
I looked in the top to see if the filters needed changing and I saw several worm type things of different shapes and sizes. One was an inch long. I looked in the bottom compartment where the filtered water was and there was nothing in it!
My conclusion: the microbes that grew into worm type things came from the tap and if they hadn't been filtered out they would have grown inside me. No thanks!
Living in the city makes for some weird tasting water sometimes, and like you I to am a water drinker. I have tried Smartwater it is refreshing and has a very good taste to it. When I can fill up my water bottle with it riding my bike is way more fun. very good hub here gets my vote^
